TS Career Central

Career Central is an online resource that enables TSPPPA graduate students, alumni, and employers to search and apply for jobs, register for events, and connect with TSPPPA alumni—all from a single website.

Job Search & Application
Students and alumni can search for job opportunities announced by employers and other alumni through CDS.  Users can even create a custom Job Search Agent that will automatically send users an email when a new job posting meets their specific interests. 

Career Central is also the main method for applying to jobs posted on the site.  To apply for a job, users upload their résumés and cover letters to their profiles, which are sent to employers through the Career Central system.  Uploaded résumés can also be searched according to criteria set by employers looking to fill positions.

Career Calendar
The “Career Calendar” feature enables students and alumni to view and register for upcoming career development events, such as job fairs, career panels, and scheduled interviews.

On-Campus Recruiting
Employers visit the campus in the fall and spring semesters each year to conduct interview. Students and alumni (within two semesters following graduation) are eligible to register for the OCR program.

Document Library & Special Links
Career Development Services produces many informational and “how-to” documents related to career development (e.g. networking tips, constructing résumés).  These documents are available on the Career Central Document Library as well as in the Career Center office.

Other Career Development Resources
CDS has subscriptions to several online job bulletin services with job announcements worldwide updated daily & weekly.  CDS makes these bulletins available to the TSPPPA community by posting the weekly login information on Career Central.

Users can also find helpful web links to such sites as the GW Career Center, the CareerSearch! employer database, and Idealist.com.

Logging In To Career Central
Students and alumni can log into their TS Career Central profile by going to www.mytscareer.com.

Students must use their gwmail email address as their username. Alumni usernames are initially set to their current email address. Email tscareer@gwu.edu if you have difficulty logging in.
