Academic Programs

Class shotOur master's programs in public administration (MPA) and public policy (MPP) integrate theory and practice in scholarship, teaching, and service and embrace multiple perspectives for advancing critical analysis and practical knowledge of public policy and public administration. Our Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration offers a rigorous multi-disciplinary curriculum that prepares students for careers in university teaching and research, research institutions, federal, state, and local governments, and international organizations.

The Trachtenberg School is one of only two universities in the nation to offer both the Master of Public Administration (MPA) and the Master of Public Policy (MPP) degrees both with accreditation from NASPAA (National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration).

We welcome welcome both full-time and part-time students in all of our degree programs. Most classes are offered in the late afternoons or evenings to meet the needs of part-time as well as full-time students. More information about full-time and part-time student status is here. The Trachtenberg School does not offer online or distance learning courses.
